Job Summary

The Senior Human Resources Executive role will focus on supporting and translating the business strategy into business-specific people agenda through monitoring of HR processes (recruitment & retention, policy management, learning & development, compliance and performance management)

.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business effectiveness through development and maintenance of clear organization design, HR structure, and processes.
  • Build adequate talent pipeline by identifying potential leaders and successors through talent initiatives and robust individual development plans.
  • Ensure that all new recruits are properly integrated to the business through general and customized induction & onboarding
  • Performs exit interviews for the employees within the business unit in line with company processes
  • Enhance employee motivation, engagement and discipline through implementation of rewards, recognition and retention strategy.
  • External stakeholder engagement in promoting harmonious working relationships within the operating environment.
  • Share the company’s values, norms, and vision with employees familiarizing them with the overall ethics of the organization
  • Responsible for Performance Management System based on leading practices with the aim to provide a fair and transparent performance management across units
  • Resolve problems related to appraisals, such as employee requests for re-evaluation, and ensure that these issues are handled in a fair, professional, and transparent way
  • Support management in developing policies on compensation and total reward, work procedures and discipline, working hours, career development etc.
  • Ensure company compliance to employee labor laws especially ones relating to tax, pension, health and insurance laws of Nigeria.
  • Monitors the Company’s Human Capital Information Management Systems and their outputs to ensure they remain fit for purpose and current
  • Assists with preparing the annual Human Capital budget and plan, and supports implementation
  • Carryout investigatory and disciplinary hearings when necessary.
  • Provide monthly inputs to payroll in a timely manner.
     


Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration disciplines, etc.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar Role organization
  • Professional certification in Human Resources from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) or its equivalent (e.g., HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
  • A relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc in HRM, Management with HR focus or MBA) would be an added advantage
